Description
The “Mustang” electric drive for a manual wheelchair is perfect for those traveling with their own wheelchair and those who don’t have much space to store a large electric wheelchair. The electric drive is the perfect solution for maintaining independence and the freedom of traveling independently with a wheelchair. Switching from an electric wheelchair to a manual wheelchair and back again takes just seconds. The drive attaches to the customer’s existing folding cross-type wheelchair, eliminating the need to purchase a new wheelchair.
Thanks to the electric drive, you can easily cover even long distances on your wheelchair. The lithium-ion battery allows for a range of up to 40 km. Its small size and weight allow you to always carry a second set of batteries and, if necessary, simply replace it to continue using the electric drive. Lithium-ion batteries are the most modern batteries on the market, characterized by their low weight and twice the lifespan of lead-acid batteries.
Adapting the stroller to attach the drive involves attaching four connectors to the frame using the included Allen key. These connectors don’t need to be removed each time; they’re designed to be easy to fold for transport. These connectors can be permanently mounted to the stroller. The frame with lock is attached to the connectors without the need for any tools, preparing the stroller for operation with the drive. Attaching the drive involves inserting the frame pin into the lock under the seat and straightening the drive to a vertical position. At this point, the stroller’s small wheels lift, the lock automatically engages, and the stroller is ready to go.
The “Mustang” gained recognition at the Rehabilitation Fair in Łódź in September 2014 and received an award for its innovation. At the same time, the “Mustang” enjoyed great interest and recognition at the fair in Düsseldorf in 2014. The “Mustang” drive was designed and manufactured by our company and is registered in the Patent Office. Our company is the sole manufacturer of the “Mustang” drive, and as a Polish manufacturer, we have all the spare parts for it, and if necessary, we also provide service. Thanks to our solution, the customer gains the most affordable electric wheelchair on the market, foldable and equipped with lithium-ion batteries.
